Google Webmaster Help
Google provides a number of free services for users of the web (and by default, users of their search engine. Bing is a newcomer to the market and only time shall tell how popular it gets).
The Google Webmaster help gives answers to questions that you probably haven’t even thought of yet, such asĀ What does the search result actually mean (anatomy of a search result).
If you have a traditional website, you should take advantage of a webmaster account, and register your website so that it will be indexed sooner rather than later. You’ll need a sitemap that can be read, but that can be generated once you log in.
Bing Webmaster Help
Bing is a new search engine, powered by a mix of Microsoft and Yahoo! technologies but has yet to make a dent in Google’s dominance of the net. But it’s still something to consider when you’re working on your site.
You can submit your website to bing to be indexed (which is the term used for your site being placed in results) and learn a number of other really useful things.
